Brian McNamee Has Photographs Too

Brain McNamee had a seven-hour deposition today with Congressional lawyers -- I hope he got a bathroom break or perhaps a nice comped lunch -- and there is yet another twist in this whole he-said she-said between him and Roger Clemens: photographs.

This adds to yesterday when McNamee was said to still have syringes he supposedly injected Clemens with a few years ago. (These syringes, by and large, have been debunked as real, hard evidence.)

The details on the photos:
One photo shows a crushed beer can -- which Richard Emery, another of McNamee's attorneys, said was taken out of a trash can in Clemens' New York apartment in late 2001 -- that contained needles used to inject Clemens. That picture also shows what Emery said was gauze used to wipe blood off Clemens after a shot.

The other picture shows vials of what Emery said were testosterone, and needles -- items the attorney said Clemens gave to McNamee for safekeeping at the end of the 2002 baseball season.
The problem with the syringes is that it's impossible to tell how old the substances within them are. Therefore, it ain't evidence. And, I'm no Matlock, but I have a feeling these two pictures are going to be treated the same way -- a desperate attempt to have real physical evidence when in fact, they aren't. (How do you prove when and where these were taken?)

For their next trick? I hope Clemens produces a picture of McNamee with a "Say No To Drugs" t-shirt and passes if off as evidence. Seems to fit in just right with this whole ordeal.
