Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson has made no secret that he would love to leave Cincinnati, especially if he could leave for a team that would give him a new contract with an eight-figure signing bonus.
Enter Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, a man who has never met a big-name wide receiver he wouldn't love to give an eight-figure signing bonus. Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post reports:
I'm a Chad Johnson fan, and I'm sure he could be a fine addition to new Redskins coach Jim Zorn's offense. But I just don't think the Redskins need to use their salary-cap space on another highly paid wide receiver. They'd be much better off investing in the offensive line, but Snyder likes to make headlines, and no offensive lineman can make headlines like Ocho Cinco.Numerous league sources, including some with direct knowledge of conversations between Snyder, Cerrato and recent head coaching candidates, have affirmed that the Redskins have interest in trading for Cincinnati wide receiver Chad Johnson, with two league sources saying Johnson is eager to land a hefty new contract from Washington.
Acquiring an elite receiver is Snyder's top priority, league sources said. The Bengals have said they have no intention of trading Johnson, but his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is working quietly to broker a deal, the sources said.

Ocho Cinco would not be a good fit for the skins just because of his attitude. The Skins don't need anymore distractions that would cause them to fragment. Because if things start to go wrong he's already showed that he doesn't have the class not to tear down his team.
The Redskins need to sure up the offensive line, get a WR through the draft, and a DE also through the draft.
The Reskins are fine without him.Everything the Redskins need is within this years draft.
They need to continue to build through the draft!

dont waste your money on this WR. We need an offensive line to give more time for the QB to Throw. Address the WR in the Draft. Get rid of Brandon Loyd, give more time to Anthony Mix in order to develop him in to a a 3rd WR. Address the DE in the Draft. keep James Thrash for insurance purposes.

A year ago any people said randy moss was done and you should not get him because of his atitude, but the patriots gave him a shot and look what he has done for them. Chad would relieve the pressure on portis so our running game would be better. I would love to see Ocho cinco vs T.O. on the same division.

You're trying to win superbowls thats it. So why not get who you think is needed.

They had the second hardest schedule in the NFL last season with a second season quarterback.
They had thirteen starters hurt with injuries. Major starters i might add...

How in the world do you think we need another QB????? It was the play calling not the QB! Jason Campbell will be a star in this league! It would be nice to have Chad's talent...but we don't need any more drama on this team! We just need to finish solidifying our coaching staff and get ready for free agency and the draft.
We are fine with what we have now.
And to you RdsknCritic...who in the heck is going to back up CP if he gets hurt...Rock?? I don't thing so. We need to keep the 1-2 punch we have now and add a big WR through the draft! They have some pretty good WR coming out this year.
And to Jose Fares...who is to say that Chads attitude will change? Chad and Moss are two different people. Also Moss went to a team whos QB is much more experienced than the Redskins. Jason hasn't reached that level as of YET.

Jim Zorn's offense is the West Coast. Chad likes to go vertical,plus won't get the catches he gets in Cincy. Not a good fit. IMO
