- a cardboard cutout of Joe Paterno,
- a yearbook with a picture of him in his glory days as a high school football player, and
- a ponytail.
Aaaand that should end Penn State's chances if Pryor's making his decision based on completely ludicrous fluff. Which he undoubtedly is. After the jump, a Michigan version of the above that's considerably less embarrassing. (Which is not to say it's 'not embarrassing.' I don't think it would be possible to have a not embarrassing one.)
Ohio State has yet to join the arms race.

1. After watching this blog, I must say wow did I miss out on college. I mean this guy has it going on. Tough but not to tough- stand up posters in the yard-to cool. A real college degree-Damm! I'm willing to bet he even has season tickets-I can't handle it. Happy Valley you can be proud of this one and somehow I don't think he got away. Terrell make sure you bring your yearbook with you when when you visit-you wouldn't want to offend the Alumni.

2. Someone needs to find this PSU grad and slap the sh*t out of him. All he's done is make sure Terrelle Pryor DOESN'T go to Penn State. On the other hand, the only place for TP to go is MICHIGAN. He has the opportunity to start as a freshman. Rich Rodriguez runs the spread offense. Playing in front of 110,000 in the BIG HOUSE. Playing for the winningest program in college football history. Enough said. Plus, why would TP want to attend Ohio State and get embarrassed in front of millions of people when they get hammered in the biggest game of the year??

3. I think the cardboard cut out of paterno just winked at me. TP will be a star in Michigan.

4. What? Ohio State not do something stupid and embarass Columbus residents and alumni? I'm shocked. President Gee, you're falling down on the job. Get out there and humiliate us like the Penn State fans are!

5. First of all.... did the author of this article (Brian Cook) really comment about this PSU alumni's ponytail? Brian, buy a mirror dude, Woodstock is not going to happen again. Secondly, to the fan who think TP is going to Michigan and no Ohio State... why go to the team that can't even beat the team that "gets embarrassed in the biggest game of the year every year"? Two words.... Applachian State!

6. Some linebacker is going to shorten this hot dogs career. Just another example how the system is flawed.

7. Pryor has stated he wants to be a pro QB.You won't be a pro QB by going to a spread offense in college. That kinda rules out Northern West Virginia (Michigan). Can't imagine him going to PSU either with JOPA being about what 85 now.OSU hasn't exactly been Quarterback U,but at least they play in BCS games, have a young coach and a pro-style offense. And hey,no stupid YouTube freaks either. His choice seems clear enough to me.

8. First of all to David in post # 2. Terrelle Pryor already picked Ohio State on signing day but his father wanted him to go to Penn St. And as far as OSU getting embarrassed in the big game, AT LEAST THEY WERE IN THOSE GAMES! I'm a strong Michigan fan and will be to the day I die. But the facts are we have NOTHING to say about someone picking OSU over us after losing 4 straight and 6 out of the last 7 to them. Besides, after watching Pryor's interview on his front porch on Youtube with one of the guys from Rivals on signing day morning, he comes across as immature, illiterate, and clueless. Is this somebody we even want as the face of the Michigan football program? Its bad enough with all this crap from the Rodriguez hiring without some punk kid whos clearly attention hungry dragging the program down. If he comes to Michigan so be it. But we will be just fine without him. Steven Threet ran the spread in high school and I would much rather see the kinda spread we ran against Florida than some runningback at QB.
To JAGetz, its funny how people like you love to bring up App St but won't say a word about Florida. App St must be better than OSU, Illinois ,Penn St, AND Florida. How you may ask? First of all, App St can claim something OSU has never and will never be able to claim, that they lead the all-time series with Michigan. Michigan still leads with OSU 57-41 with 6 ties. We also lead 28-23 all-time in Columbus. Second, App St put up 35 points on the board against a HEALTHY Michigan team. How many points did the all mighty Buckeyes put up against an injured Michigan team playing in crappy weather? A whopping 14! And since we beat Illinois(on the road when the Buckeyes couldn't even beat them at home)Penn St( with a Freshman playing QB), and Florida, that must mean App St is better than them to. And speaking of Florida, how did those Buckeyes do against them? 41-14 thats how! And Florida was the underdog with a bum like Chris Leak "leading" them. We beat Florida, the defending National champions, with a Heisman trophy QB leading them, unranked and heavy underdogs, in the state of Florida no less, after giving them FOUR turnovers to their none! It should've been a rout like the one they gave OSU. While we're on the subject of Florida, what has OSU EVER done against the SEC? 0-9, thats what! Michigan is 7-3 against the SEC(2-0 vs Florida) in bowl games and 23-11 against them overall. About Terrelle Pryor. Michigan and OSU for that matter will be just fine with or without Terrelle Pryor. He isn't God. But since OSU has been on his d*ck since he was a little boy and a shaddy buisnessman in Jeanette is willing to give him cars and God knows what else to get him to go to OSU, they can have him. Like I said earlier, he sounds immature and illiterate. I know hes only 18, but Tiger Woods and LeBron James sounded mature at that age. Hell, Michelle Wie sounded better at 14! I know OSU's academic standards aren't that high(unlike Michigan's) so he should fit right in there. He sounds/looks like he has all the makings of a typical OSU thug in the molds of Maurice Clarette, Rob Murphy, David Boston, Terry Glenn, Dan Wilkinsen, Troy Smith(he took money) Antonio Henton(their prostitute loving QB)and finally that wacko Alonzo Spellman.

9. To Cori
Your arrogance when speaking of the class of player attending Michigan is only surpassed by your naivety. Just wait until Mr. Rodriguez begins his assualt on your beloved program. You want to see "thugs".... you're gonna get em. Best of luck big blue.
Posted at 2:20AM on Feb 22nd 2008 by JAGetz
10. Hey JAGetz, the proper word you should've used instead of arrogance is truthfulness. NAME ONE MICHIGAN FOOTBALL PLAYER THAT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE A THUG IN THE MOLD OF NUMEROUS OSU PLAYERS, EITHER IN THE PROS OR COLLEGE! Whatever Rodriguez does in the future remains to be seen, but the trash that OSU's football program has produced is a fact! Look at how they're all on Pryor's d$ck. A Jeanette,Penn businessman who wants him to go to OSU has already loaned him a Corvette for his prom and has been helping him financially for years. Now all of the sudden his mother has the means to move back to Jeanette? This whole thing stinks to high heaven and OSU can have this overrated, recruiting violation, primadonna. I don't know where you live, but I live in Lima,Ohio 2 hours away from Columbus,Ohio. OSU would do ANYTHING to get Pryor because they've never had a QB worth sh$t! They've put ONE QB in the NFL in the last 20 years and even their best Troy"taking money" Smith was 3 picks away from being a 5th round pick and he won the Heisman! Just like Michigan has much higher academic standards than OSU, they also have much higher character standards for their football players. Pryor looks/sounds more like an OSU thug than a Michigan man. If thats "arrogance" to you, thats your problem.

11. OK CORI:
I'VE DECIDED TO ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE (SEE BELOW). I AM NOT A BUCKEYE NOR A MICHIGAN FAN. IF I HAD TO PICK A TEAM FROM THE BIG TEN, I WOULD SAY I AM A PENN STATE FAN. THAT BEING SAID, YOU WON'T READ AN ENTRY FROM ME STATING HOW GREAT PSU IS OR HOW THEIR STANDARDS FOR ATHLETES IS FAR SUPERIOR THAN THAT OF ANY OTHER SCHOOL. ACTUALLY, OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS IT APPEARS JOEPA HAS ALLOWED THE PATIENTS TO START RUNNING THE ASSYLUM. MY ONE AND ONLY POINT TO YOU IS THAT I WOULD EXACTLY GO ON RECORD SAYING THAT MICHIGAN IS KNOCKING ON THE DOOR OF AN IVY LEAGUE ESTABLISHMENT.... AND IF THEY DID HAVE ANY BRAGGING RIGHTS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF CHARACTER THEY RECRUIT, YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT THAT NOW THAT R.R. IS RUNNING THE SHOW.
Two Michigan football players were arraigned Wednesday on assault charges after police say they attacked a fellow student in a residence hall on St. Patrick's Day.
Carson Butler, 19, of Detroit, and Christian Richards III, 19, of Pacoima, Calif., are charged with one count each of aggravated assault, and assault and battery, said campus police spokeswoman
Diane Brown.
Two University of Michigan football players are expected to go on trial next month on separate charges of indecent exposure and driving while intoxicated.
Wide receiver LaTerryal Savoy, 21, of Mamou, La., attended a pretrial hearing Friday on charges that he exposed himself July 23 to a 21-year-old woman he knew inside Michigan Stadium. He pleaded not guilty at an arraignment Wednesday.
He is charged with one count of indecent exposure, a misdemeanor that carries up to one year in jail and a fine. His trial is set for Sept. 21.
Linebacker Obi Ezeh, 19, of Grand Rapids, pleaded not guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated, also a misdemeanor.
He was arrested May 22 after his vehicle struck a utility pole. His trial is set for Sept. 19.

12. Hey Jeff, nice work posting a bunch of CHARGES that have yet to be proven in a court of law. And for somebody that isn't a fan of Michigan, you sure do know alot about MARGINAL football players on their team. I never said Michigan football players were perfect, but they are far and away better at staying out of trouble than the vast majority of other schools, especially OSU. Read whats going on at Alabama right now, or Florida St, or LSU etc. All those OSU players were GUILTY of the said offenses that I listed unlike those charges you listed. When the Michigan basketball program got in trouble years ago, Michigan imposed its OWN punishment on the program(removal of all things Fab Five, banners, records, trophies etc)That would NEVER happen at other schools, hence my point. As far as RichRod, if he brings in low quality thugs to Michigan, then that means he was doing it at WV to! So the WV fans that crucify him should be jumping up and down celebrating that hes gone instead of acting like a bitter ex wife about 4 million dollars thats not going into any of their pockets anyway.

13. if pryor wants to be a great qb he will go to U of M of course

14. If Pryor cant make a decision about which school to attend, how in the hell is he going to react quickly when he is looking down the jaws of a crushing linebacker? Is this kid smart enough to make a football decision or will someone have to run him by remote control?

15. Name one player from Michigan that turned out to be a thug....... Tom Brady. Gee that was easy.
Posted at 9:05PM on Mar 2nd 2008 by Gerry
16. How in the hell is Tom Brady a thug? Tom Brady is one of the best QBs of all time at age 30! What the hell has he ever done on or off the field to be called a thug? Gerry, you sound like a complete and total ass! The only thing you done that was easy was prove what an idiot you are.

17. I think it is real funny how the best players and coaches for Michigan always seem to have been OHIO natives .To knock OHIO STATE is a weak vise , only to amuse the "small" minded wolverine faithful .Ask anyone who knew almighty "BO" ,Gary Moeller, or assistant coach Les Miles who also played for Michigan and are all from OHIO .Two of your three Heisman trophy winners Desmond Howard[1991] ,and Charles Woodson [1997] also from OHIO . The BUCKEYES have [7] Heisman trophy winners , one of which is a two time winner . Tom Harmon, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, Howard "hop a long" Cassidy, Archie Griffin "[2X]" , Eddie George, and Troy Smith. Mike Boren ,a linebacker from Ohio ,lead in tackles for Michigan in his junior and senior years in the 90'S .As of recent Mario manningham [w.r.] ,Brandon Harrison[safety], Pierre Woods [L.B.], and Pat Massey[D.T.].It is to a great credit that Ohio has had a great impact on Michigan football. Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler created the all time leading rivalry in college football . Both native Ohioans ,working there magic ,so that so many might be more inspired , more energized , and more competative at such an up and coming sport at the time . GOD bless WOODY AND BO . Go big ten . No more watching from the sidelines .BE THE BALL !

18. Read below ...Case closed..Go OSU....Carr should have stayed ..Great coach/man...whipped Florida's ass...Paterno Great coach/man..It's nolt all about winning !!!
BCS Success: Only 10 schools have produced multiple wins in BCS games and the Big Ten boasts two of those programs in Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Buckeyes now have a 4-2 record in BCS action, tied for the second-most wins in BCS games with LSU behind only the five triumphs for USC. OSU has posted three triumphs in the Fiesta Bowl (2002, 2003, 2005) and a Sugar Bowl win (1998). The Badgers are 2-0 in BCS matchups with back-to-back Rose Bowl victories following the 1998 and 1999 seasons. Illinois appeared in its second BCS contest after playing in the 2002 Sugar Bowl. The Illini are one of 17 schools to appear in multiple BCS games, a group that includes the Big Ten's Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin.
