ESPN did a smart thing in scheduling a college football game for last Thanksgiving. I don't really watch the NFL games so it was nice to sit down to USC playing Arizona State late in the evening. I had hoped it would begin something of a tradition for college football in having a marquee game on that night. That faith has been rewarded. This year they've brought the Texas rivals together to play on the Holiday and as a bonus, it restores some tradition.
The Texas-Texas A&M football rivalry will move back to its traditional Thanksgiving slot for the next two years. The longtime Thanksgiving event was moved to the day after in 1996. The switch back accommodates a Thanksgiving night ESPN broadcast, Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds said Monday.
Texas and Texas A&M have played on Thanksgiving 60 times in a rivalry that dates to 1894.
Nice. After a string of six consecutive victories, Texas has dropped the last two to the rival Aggies (12-7 and 38-30). This year's meeting will be played in Austin.

1. You lose all credibility with America when you state you don't watch the NFL - even on Thanksgiving ? Loser !

2. How is that? The NFL brand of football is boring. 32 teams with equal talent all running the same offenses and defenses.
No pageantry. Regimented games, there's no creativity or spark to any of it. Most of the discussion around the game centers on man dramas instead of the actual on-field product. I don't read US Weekly, why should I be fed so much more of that type stuff daily from the NFL?
I used to love the NFL, but the actual game has gotten incredibly boring.

3. HOOK'EM.
Hey Colt, 2 losses to the Aggies in a row. Don't let the Aggies become your Chris Simm's OU.
Longhorn fans will understand.

4. What could be more BORING than a sport without an actual championship ? Less talented players than the NFL as well- MUCH less talented. Enjoy the "pageantry" too, there, Cupcake.
