Bush And Dice-K: A Match Made in Heaven
The Red Sox visited the White House today and George Bush -- as American presidents do -- congratulated and celebrated Boston on its World Series victory of the '07 season. Besides making a joke about Manny Ramirez's dead grandmother (I don't think that one went over so well!) President Bush found time to liken Daisuke Matsuzaka to himself, getting in some self-depreciation for good measure.
It's almost as if his own approval rating for himself is lower than America's for him. Hi-yo!

SO Manny was the only member of the Sox not to show for Bush's White House thing? One player stated that it's something that he'll remember all his life? Hey idiot---try remembering all the American "kids" Bush is getting killed over in Iraq and Afghanistan. What were the democrats on the team thinking? What mindless sheep!

Mike,
It's funny that because someone doesn't share the same opinion or conviction about the war, you call them mindless sheep.
The funny thing is, maybe for some, it's about being at the White House and not necessarily meeting the president. Another interesting thing is I have two friends who lost their lives in Iraq and another who is going for his second tour next week. All of them joined the military after the war began. Nobody sprung the war on them after they were already in the military and Uncle Sam did not draft them. They went because they felt a conviction to go. Bush did not kill them.

I AGREE WITH MARY... MY OLDEST SON JUST WENT TO BOOT CAMP, ATLANTA GA BECAUSE HE WANTED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, HE HAD A GOOD JOB HERE AT HOME, BUT HE HAD A CALLING AND HE ANSWERED IT.. MY BROTHER IN LAW HAS BEEN IN THE AIR FORCE FOR OVER 30 YEARS BEEN TO IRAQ 3 TIMES, HE IS A AIR FORCE ENGINEER, AND WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM AND WHAT HE IS DOING FOR MY CHILDREN, FOR ME AND ALL OF YOU... PEOPLE WHO TALK DONT DO... SO IF YOUR NOT OUT THEIR MAKING A DIFFERENCE, JUST SUPPORT THE TROOPS AND PRAY FOR THEM.. SOME OF THEM ARE OUT THERE CAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO BE OUT THERE, NOT BECAUSE ANYONE IS TWISTING THEIR ARM....
