Lance Briggs was supposed to make a lot of money once the free-agency floodgates opened at midnight, Feb. 29. Two days into this thing and it hasn't happened. And it won't. From FOX Sports' Jay Glazer:
One year after saying he wanted out of Chicago during a contract impasse, Lance Briggs has decided he wants to be a Bear for the next several years Briggs has agreed to a six-year deal with the Bears that includes approximately $12 million in guaranteed money...The $12 million in guaranteed dough is nice, but presumably a lot less than what he was expecting when he decided test free agency. The 49ers could've been willing to throw some cash at Briggs, but the whole thing got monkey-wrenched when the team admitted to tampering.
Early speculation had Briggs returning to Chicago if the Bears was worried about the long-term effects of Brian Urlacher's neck injury. But now it seems more like Briggs wasn't as popular as maybe he and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, thought. Or, more likely, they just have really crappy timing/luck.
Remember, the Redskins were willing to do just about anything to acquire Briggs last off-season, and now the team has suddenly quit impulsive free-agency spending cold turkey (no way that lasts). And the 49ers were this close to landing Briggs before they ratted themselves out for tampering.
On the bright side, that's one less thing the Bears' front office has to worry about, and now they can devote more time to figuring out which quarterback they'll draft in two months. Assuming, of course, that Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton aren't the answers.

4. Matt Millan is a piece of crap-- Married his way into never losing his job even if the Lions or Ford family never win a thing. What a piece of crap he is.
The Titans are the cheapest team in the NFL. They are 41 million under the cap and are sitting here letting all the free agents pass them by. The Titans are notorius for picking up injury prone or has beens they think will pan out.
The problem is at all the home games they have no player worthy of playing music for during big plays in the game. This makes for some of the most boring football games in the NFL. We used to have good music for EDDIE G and The Freak !!!!!!!
Also the Titans have no one on offense for Vince to go to. Enough said.

5. Ryan,
Yes, you either made it up or you read what you wanted to read in the 49ers comments. It seems you think the fact that they contacted Brigg's agent about signing to a new contract is an admission of tampering, but it really depends what is asked. If they asked "Is he eligible to be signed to a new contract", then is that tampering? To find out for sure what the 49ers admit to, let's talk to the GM:
From the GM (quote):
""There's nothing to it. We have no response because there's nothing to respond to.""
Is this what you call an admission?

6. Phil,
Yeah, I know. When I said "I made it up," I meant it; it was a joke. Hence the link to the previous story.
