David Stern Not a Fan of Homer Announcers
David Stern was in Portland yesterday, and as you can see, he was his usual acerbic self. He hit the nail on the head, though; it's ridiculous how over the top some homer announcers can be. It's one thing if you're a fan of the home team, but in this day and age of NBA League Pass where there's no rhyme or reason to which feed you get access to, it can be just plain annoying.

2. I prefer homer announcers over neutral announcers. They get all fired up and call a more interesting game than neutral announcers. But the reason Stern doesn't like homerism is because they criticize the officiating more. And as fan of the NBA, I can say they have good reason to and frankly, often show some restraint.
