Sometimes It's Worth Getting Tasered if it Means a Masters Badge

You wanna know how popular the Masters Tournament is? Just look at this Golf Digest survey. A few things worth noting:

* Just in case you weren't convinced, Tiger Woods is, by miles and miles, the most popular player on the planet. Nearly 54% of respondents want him to win the Masters, and the second-closest player, Fred Couples, who's two years removed from the Champions Tour, only managed to get 15.3% of the vote.

* Given the option of a free foursome at Pebble Beach (greens fees: $495 per person) or two free Masters' badges, 30.6% preferred the former while 36.6% chose the latter.

* And in response to the best survey questioned ever asked -- "You can get in the Masters for free if you agree to be Tasered at the gate before entering each day. How many rounds do you attend?" -- the responses were as follows:
Four-54.2%
Two or three-8.1%
One-9.1%
"Don't Tase me, bro!"-28.6%
Put me down for "four" as well. One I get, but who gets tasered two or three times but not a fourth? Is the Thursday-Saturday action more exciting than Sunday's round?

Interestingly, since 2000, the total number of people actually playing golf has monotonically declined. But as long as Woods is able-bodied, television ratings should be fine (well, except for when Woods wins by too many strokes). And Augusta in early April, obviously, is no exception.
