Tyler Hansbrough's putback with 0.8 seconds left may have locked up a #1 seed for North Carolina. The Heels needed the shot to beat Virginia Tech, 68-66, to advance to the ACC Championship game.
WIth Tennessee, Georgetown and Duke losing ... plus either Kansas or Texas since they play each other for the Big XII championship ... there really isn't a way for UNC to lose their spot on the top line.
The fact that the Hoyas and Volunteers both lost, Carolina has probably locked up that top seed in the East Region. That would mean that the Heels would have the opportunity to play in both Raleigh and Charlotte on the road to the Final Four.
