Tennessee Titans running back LenDale White has been charged with three misdemeanors after a run-in with police in his home town of Denver early Saturday, the Denver Post is reporting.
A police spokeswoman said White was "cited on charges destruction of property, disobedience to a lawful order/interference and resisting a police officer." More details will become available when court documents are entered into the public record on Monday.
White, who carried 303 times for 1,110 yards in 2007 and is expected to be the Titans' starting running back in 2008, has at times been accused of lacking the proper focus during the off-season, especially when it comes to staying in shape and keeping his weight down. White had arthroscopic knee surgery after the 2007 season.

Charges sound a little weak to me.Not So Funny how it always seems to be African American Males getting all the crap from the cops. Kind of sounds like profiling to me ??? Maybe ALL the African American Male Athletes should have a "SIT THIS ONE OUT WEEK in College and Professional Sports untill they are NO LONGER HARRASED and Profiled. A lot of these problems come from jealous cops with egos and athletes that don't want to take the disrespect anymore. When they were younger and didn't have any money they had to deal with it. Now they can pay for a lawyer.
You could imagine if some of the people commenting on this today were cops what would happen with the bad attitudes I see on this blog. No actual facts have been presented yet and they think they know what happened.
