Maybe it is best that Dick Vitale wasn't in the studio during the ESPN's bracket shows.
In the clip above, Vitale throws out what many people have been whispering: Bobby Knight to Indiana.
The problem is that when Vitale mentioned it, Knight (who is working for ESPN) was obviously ... something. Pissed? Embarrassed? Ticked? Emotional? Nervous? Shaken? Maybe all of them.
As Vitale kept on rambling, Knight just sat there -- quiet ... with a red face and glazed eyes
I do give Dickie V some credit for kicking that elephant in the room right in the backside. You knew that Reece Davis, Hubert Davis, Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas weren't going to touch that one.

Knight is HISTORY. Indiana needs to get beyond the past. This year was no better with Samson. Indiana will return to its basketball roots when it takes satisfaction with a fundementals coaching staff that has integrity and fan support.

Who really gives a rip? You could take BK and DV put them on an Island in the Pacific with no power etc. Let them do the play by play on the Coconuts falling. I'm sure they could make it as interesting as Basketball.

I couldn't agree more with DV. Everyone else was thinking it, he had the guts to verbalize it. What could bring more excitement to IU basketball? You can't denie his success and the success of his graduates.
