MLB Poetry Preview: San Francisco Giants

As part of our season preview, FanHouse asked bloggers from around the internet to write a poem previewing their team's upcoming season in a series entitled MLB Poetry Previews. It's like high school English class, except about baseball!

For today's poem, we remain in house and wonder: Could the Giants have any LESS offense?

Let's start this out by being brutally bulnt:
This team has no chance -- I'm just being up front.

They've got less offense than a tee-ball team
And honestly, I'm not saying that to be mean

Saying farewell to Bonds was the right move to make
But his bat will be missed, whether his power was real or fake

It seems clear they should be rebuilding this year
They're missing their chance to work on their farm I fear

Signing folks like Zito and now Rowand just seems so silly
You can't be spending money willy-nilly

Maybe next year the Giants will be smarter
Grab some youngsters, get on the market and barter

The division is too strong to contend just yet
So stop wasting money and score as many top prospects as you can get!
