Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall suffered an arm injury that required stitches yesterday. The initial reports were that he put his arm through a TV screen.Hearing the story, you'd think he got mad when his NCAA Tournament bracket went bust or something, but we now have more details, from Adam Schefter of NFL Network, via Pro Football Talk. Marshall says he slipped on a McDonald's bag, stuck out his hand to brace his fall, and stuck it right through a TV. He needed a number of stitches and his arm is now in a cast, but he apparently will be fine long before training camp opens.
It's hard not to be at least a little bit skeptical of such a story, seeing as it sounds so strange, and seeing as many athletes in the past have lied about how they suffered injuries because certain activities are specifically prohibited in players' contracts. For now, there's no specific reason to doubt Marshall's story. But it sure sounds hard to believe.
UPDATE: Broncos' Brandon Marshall Admits McDonald's Wrapper Did Not Cause Arm Injury

lol do you know how hard a TV screen is? I don`t think he could punch a hole in it if he tried. This as funny as the time former Broncos QB Jake Plummer`s dog stood up and pushed him down the stairs....yea right lol

utter nonsense. he's had domestic issues that required police intervention in the past. my guess is his g/f slashed him protecting herself -- forcing him to come up with this ridiculous story to explain his cut.

Marshall must actually be a pretty straight up guy, because it's quite obvious he has no experience in telling lies.Anybody who would believe this is a damn fool.

It wasn't McDonald's he slipped on, I heard from a very very close source to this story that it was actually a Burger King bag planted there by the Burger King himself no less....lol.

Another lawsuit coming for McD's.
If that stupid broad that poured hot coffee in her lap can do it, and with our stupid court system and idiotic juries, this moron could become even richer.

TV screens are made of safety glass and are very hard to shatter/break unless you use a hammer or other heavy object on them.
Plausability of story from 1-100 would be rated a 5.
