Remarkably durable Dirk Nowitzki didn't survive his big Sunday match with San Antonio, crumpling to the ground with a severe looking leg injury. No immediate word on Dirk's condition, thus no immediate word on the state of the Mavericks' season.Dallas lost, by the way, as the play Dirk was injured during gave San Antonio the lead for good. The Spurs -- who were left for dead last week -- have won three straight, and Dallas still has not beaten a winning team since adding Jason Kidd a month ago. The Mavs are a single game ahead of Golden State for 7th in the West, with the Nuggets 2-1/2 games back.
Will Dallas survive if Dirk misses time? No way to get a reading on that -- he has only missed 25 of 706 possible regular season games over his career. The upcoming schedule is daunting, though; missing an MVP for multiple games could very well spell doom for the Mavericks.

Ziller, did you notice in any of the pictures of Dirk laying on the floor that none of his teammates even bothered to bend over and see if they could help him in some way??? What does that tell you??? If you watched the second half this afternoon, you saw Kidd looked like he was lost, Terry was jacking the ball up if he had a prayer or not. They are definitely in trouble.

trade was bad, a little more flash in offense, but still no points after outstanding "D". Mavs are out, it's obvious! they are the best worst team, and worst best team!Plan for next season...

What's going on is that Udoka is saying, "Block my shot again beyatch!"
What's funny is that Dirk's out and Stack will prolly be suspended for his actions and the Mavs will lose to the Clippers.
Bwahahahahahah!!!

WOW! The Mavs are in trouble. Now, my Warriors definitely got a chance to be in the 7th spot of the Western Conference, and if the Mavericks are not at least .500 in the next 2 weeks without Dirk, then Denver can sneak up in the race for 8th place.
