(Major hat tip to ACC Nation)
You should know that CBS has quite the stranglehold on the amount of highlights that can be shown on other networks (even ESPN has a limited amount of video). So, the NBC affiliate in the Triangle Area ... Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill ... is trying to get around this by using some old school tactics: acting.
Yes, the network is using dolls to act out the highlights of the games. It is both ridiculous and hilarious!
They use a Jason Voorhees doll for Tyler Hansbrough, a frog for Gerald Henderson, a Michael Myers doll for Brian Zoubek and some stuffed animals for the Mount St. Mary's and Belmont team. Above you can see the highlights of the Duke-Belmont game. Go here for the UNC-Mount St. Mary's highlights.

2. When I worked as a production hack at a TV station, we had sports guys who used EA Sports Madden games to get around the fact that they weren't allowed to show in-progress highlights of Monday Night Football games. Since the games were always in the third quarter during our late local news, they fired up the PlayStation and re-created scoring plays.

5. Actually that's a Michael Myers doll from Halloween. Not Jason Vorhees.

Reply from Sportz Assassin:
Yes. Myers plays the role of Zoubek in the video. You need to click the link to see Jason as Hansbrough.
