Watch the highlights of Davidson's 74-70 victory over Georgetown yesterday, and one player stands out:
Yes, of course, it's Davidson guard Stephen Curry, who is the unquestioned star of the first two rounds of this year's NCAA Tournament, and who may be emerging as the biggest star of college basketball. Curry is the man everyone is talking about this morning.
The only question that still hasn't been answered satisfactorily is how on earth none of the ACC schools Curry wanted to attend picked up on him. It's the same question people were asking at this time last year. The answer, I guess, is just that recruiting is an inexact science, and on this one, the coaches in ACC country screwed up.

Wait until he faces Wisconsin's defense before you call him a star. The Badgers might let him have his way but they'll shut down the other four like they did with Beasley's team, Kansas State.
Wisconsin may play a box and one with Flowers guarding Beasley, but I don't think so because they are intimidating enough with an all-five one-on-one.
Team cohesiveness wins games & tournaments.

You have either not seen him, or you have blinders on. He makes Drew Neitzel, who just put 26 on you in Indy look like Charlie Brown, and who's the dude from Cal State who went for 31??????
He just scored 70 plus points, 30 plus on probably one of the top 5 defensive teams in the country who chased his butt all over the court.
He put 30 plus on Maryland's DJ Strawberry last year who was 6-5 and one of the best defenders in the ACC in round 1 of the NCAA, you are in for a rude awakening and I went to MSU so I am hardly partial to them. I've just seen him play in person and he is lightning quick, a fantastic penetrator, and a great passer as well. If you think he's a JJ Reddick or something, you're crazy.

Yeah, I saw him at the tournament this weekend, and I saw the Badgers twice this year. Guarding him straight up one on one is not the answer, they're very effective with screens and his release is instantaneous; he doesn't need any space to get off his shot.
But yeah, Georgetown lost because of poor guard play and poor coaching, which should not be a problem for WI. I still think it's a tight game, and I'm afraid ultimately the winner will be sacrificed to Kansas.

For the first poster who said....wait until he faces Wisconsin....well he did and is 33 points just from HIM enough??? that was more than their WHOLE team got for the 2nd half!!!!
And yes.....he wanted to go to an ACC school...wanted Virginia Tech as a matter of fact. THEY didn't want him; said he wasn't good enough for their program. Funny thing is....he gets to go to the big dance and they don't!! LOVE IT when the under dog wins!!
