Never Let It Be Said That Brandon Inge Doesn't Have His Admirers

If the Detroit Tigers are interested in dealing Brandon Inge, they should give Mike Francesa a call. He likes him. A lot.

Inge will be starting in center for the Tigers while Curtis Granderson recovers from a broken finger and he's also their backup catcher at the moment so it seems unlikely that the Mets or anyone else would be getting him in a trade. If he proves adept in the outfield, though, his versatility may make him a more valuable commodity than you'd imagine given the $19 million remaining on his contract and 688 OPS in 2007. But I'd still bet Francesa values him more than anyone else.
