Romessica Update: Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson Not Married (Yet)
Yesterday, there were reports that Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson were secretly married. When asked by a cameraman if Romo and Simpson were going to get married, Simpson's mom said, "They already are, what are you talking about?"
And then Simpson said, "Well, I guess if my mom says so!"
Later, the gossip site TMZ.com revealed that the Simpsons were just joking around.
If you want to hear Romo's views on marriage, check out this random YouTube from when Romo was named one of the Fun Fearless Males of 2008. Or the above short YouTube clip from Jessica Simpson saying it was too early to talk about engagement.
I know that QB nuptial news probably isn't particularly germane to a sports website, but Romo's lovelife, particularly as it relates to Simpson, is news to some NFL fans. It's a strange, different time. It's hard to imagine a controversy involving Cowboy quarterback great Roger Staubach running off to Mexico before the playoffs with his singer/starlet lady friend.

1. the NFL is a violent arena for football players. They workout during off season to keep their bodies tough against big hits.
And then there are the silly quarterbacks like Tony Romo and Tom Brady, who incidently is going with a woman who is not his baby's mother, I hope he has a hand in his child's life and loses his ego. These guys are pathetic that they choose to associate with arm candy and not concentrating on football.
I went to the first Super Bowl in LA, tickets were $15 and you could pick your seat. The game was spectacular, not like the thugs that plsy today.
I have never read derogatory stories about Payton or Eli Manning and other quarterbacks.
These two quarterbacks stink.

2. oh my god! there are people who are dating people that are not the parents of their child??!? i'm pretty sure step-parents have been around quite a while now, along with divorce, annulment, and other ways of recognizing that a particular marriage was probably a bad decision in the first place.
and if you are so offended by brady's antics, how do you lump Romo in with him? does Romo have a child out of wedlock that we don't know about? no, he's just a regular guy who is probably thinking to himself "oh my god, i get to date jessica simpson".
and finally, let's analyze your comment "These guys are pathetic that they choose to associate with arm candy and not concentrating on football." Are they not entitled to relationships like everyone else? Do you concentrate on your job to the detriment of your personal life? Yes, they're job is to play football at a high enough level for YOUR entertainment. Brady and Romo are two of the best, so if their level is not high enough for your entertainment, then perhaps the problem is with your football expectations rather than their football skills. Perhaps you should re-analyze what your priorities are when it comes to a football player. Have Romo or Brady killed or caused injury to anyone (yes, I'm looking at you Pacman)? As long as they are good upstanding citizens (your personal morals aside... they haven't broken any laws), try to judge them based on what they do on the field.

3. My thoughts exactly Adam. Some fans like to think they have the right to pick & choose who their quarterback dates. Sheeez.
