The NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting that the Titans trade of Pacman Jones to the Cowboys should happen by the end of this weekend.According to Schefter, the Titans started by asking for a conditional third round pick. While they likely won't get a pick that good, this is a trade that is begging for a conditional pick. Just speculating here, but it's the kind of deal where if Jones is reinstated before the season and plays the full season, Tennessee could get a fourth-round pick, while it would fall to a seventh-round pick if Jones is not reinstated before the season begins.
The only downside of using conditional picks is that it would mean that the Titans would have to wait until the 2009 draft to cash in, but considering the potential for getting a much better pick than what would be offered in a straight trade, it seems like the conditional pick would be the way to go.
At this point, getting anything for Jones is a plus. It's hard to imagine him every playing another game in a Titans uniform, so any pick the Titans can get for him would be a bonus.

1. THE COWBOYS USED TO HAVE AN AIR OF ELEGANCE ABOUT THEM. JUST TO BE A DALLAS COWBOY WAS AN EXCEPTIONAL ACHIEVEMENT. OPPOSING THEM WAS THE OAKLAND RAIDERS THAT ALWAYS ENDED UP WITH THE DISGARDED TRASH OF THE NFL. IT IS SAD THAT A ONCE MAGNIFICENT ORGANIZATION SO RICH IN PRIDE AND SUCCESS, SEEMS DETERMINED TO DISPLACE THE RAIDERS AS THE LEAGUE'S GARBAGE MEN.

2. The commissioner is never going to allow Pacman to play in the 2008 season. He is an embarasment to the league and has not met any of the requirements for reinstatement. So Cowboys and Jerry Jones, enjoy yourselves in a meaningless acquisition!!!!

5. First off PJ knows this is his LAST shot at redeeming himself at what he loves to do and I seriously doubt he'll blow it. Another thing is Dallas isn't the only team pulling for PJ as we heard a handfull of teams are interested as well. Give the guy a break already. IF he screws up then he'll lose NOT Dallas. Dallas will always be rich in tradition and achievement. Go Cowboys!!!!!!!

7. When was the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game? Before you Cowboys talk trash do something in the 21st century, please. First you need to get a real QB, who can win a big game, and new DB's. Your safties get burned. Newman is a #2 CB at best. You need a Marcus Trufant caliber CB and Pacman isn't. You really are pathetic Cowboy fans. But, it is funny for everyone else when you guys try really really hard. lol.

8. If this thug becomes a Cowboy, it will go down as the second most embarrassing event in the Cowboys great history. The first? Of course Barry Switzer as Head Coach - ouch!! Hurt just to write it...
