Super Bowl XLII Rematch Will Highlight NFL Preseason Schedule

In most cases, preseason games don't garner much attention. Marquee players rarely see the field for any significant amount of time, stadiums are never full and the outcome means absolutely nothing. But when the NFL concludes its preseason schedule this year, the game will most certainly have an audience.

In a rematch of Super Bowl XLII, the New York Giants and New England Patriots will meet in a nationally televised game from Giants Stadium.

The game will still be meaningless in the standings, but there is no doubt emotions will be running high on the field. Even if the starters only play a few series, there will be no escaping it. Every time a player looks into the eyes of his opponent, they will be brought back to Phoenix. For the Giants, it will be great. For the Patriots, it will be devastating. And for both, it will offer a little extra motivation heading into the regular season.
