There's a video posted at You Been Blinded that comes from South Park, so you should obviously be advised that it may offend you. But it's worth looking at because it's the latest sign that Bill Belichick and Patriotgate have crossed over into pop culture.
In last night's South Park, Cartman stood in front of a class of students, held up a picture of Belichick and said, "This is Bill Belichick, coach of the New England Patriots. He's won three Super Bowls. How? He cheated. He even got caught cheating, and nobody cared. Bill Belichick proved that in America, it's OK to cheat, as long as you cheat your way to the top. ... If you cheat and fail, you're a cheater. If you cheat and succeed, you're savvy."
Cartman further explained that Belichick's "I misinterpreted the rules" excuse is the right way to get away with it when you get caught cheating. Although I don't think anyone actually believes Belichick when he says he misinterpreted the rules, he has, more or less, gotten away with it. So Cartman's lesson may have some merit.

Love that "urban legend" stuff...he "cheated" and "got away with it," eh? The commissioner never said he "cheated", and he and the team received the stiffest penalty in league history. so how did he get away with it??????
Perhaps the makers of SOUTH PARK, both Broncos fans, should hold up a Broncos helmet and say the same thing? of course not. Even comics can be hypocrites.

Why is it that the two Super Bowls the Giants won with Belichick as defensive co-ordinator are never mentioned by the haters. Belichick states he always did it that way. If so, when are the Giants going to pay their fine, and loose a number 1.

South Park has consistantly over the years had the guts, ba*ls to voice 'their opinion' as it is, with wit and clarity. They deserve their praise, money, fans...
Pats have been a great 'team of players ' for years, fun to watch. Just about every week, the Packer's (with Farve)*, The 'Cowboys and the Pat's, are a team you could watch every week, regardless of who your team was...

cartman does make sense... those who are on top of their game - whether in business, in sports or in other areas - are usually those who cut corners....

getting away with it means he keeps his three super bowls? How about the two with the Giants? Should the Giants give those up? Should the Dolphins, who cheated to steal Shula and then won the SB, give up their title? and have an asterisk next to their perfect season? Should the Broncos, who cheated to sign Elway, lose their two titles they won with him? The 49ers, who also "cheated," should they lose all their titles in the salary cap era? if you say yes to all of these, then we can talk. If not, look in the mirror, because, as I have said all along, you are either ignorant, a hater, or a hypocrite. Or all of the above.

Joe Joe joe Those ABSURD comparisons are not even in the ball park Your beloved Billycreep cheated during the game giving the New England patriots and immediate advantage (by cheating) over the other team. So the question will always remain ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Did they rightfully win any of their games'''''''''''''''could they have done it without cheating.
Hey by the way-----------Wait until yu see what is happening next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO

Ugggh...I am sick & tired of Pats* defenders trying to equate the Pat's cheating transgressions to "off the field" cheating allegations. The Niners, Shula, et al. As a previous poster said, you may as well compare a Volkswagon to an egg yolk. Bellatrix cheated "ON" the field, during the game, affecting the game. In fact, if you compare it to Pete Rose, it's likely equal to or far worse. Pete Rose was only found guilty of betting on baseball games "he wasn't involved in". Bellatrix manipulated the rules to gain an unfair advantage during the game and on the field. Comparing that to an off-field trade/free agent signing mess is ludicrous. If you want to make those comparisons, compare Bellatrix's abuse of the Injury Report as a fair comparison to those transgressions.
He and the Patriots were "under-punished" for 7 years of admitted blatant cheating. "I misinterpreted the rules"...I laugh. There's a reason the world hates the Patriots, and Southpark's jumped on the bandwagon. And it ain't "hating".

They cheated. As did Barry Bonds. And history will judge them thusly.
And I agree with the poster who echoed Cartman's view - that the most successful people are usually those who lie, cheat, and steal their way to that spot. It's a sad but true fact of life in our economic system. Merit and talent is rewarded, but can also be outdone by guile and deceit.
Begs the age old question, applicable to Life and to Sports, is it whether you win or lose or how you play The Game?

Yes, I keep forgetting, signing ELWAY and SHULA in violation of the rules is not cheating. It's what? care to explain? A misinterpreatation of the rules, perhaps?

Yep, I am cognitavely challenged, and yet, when I call you out and ask for you to use your own brains, you call ME names. That's YOUR "m.o.", Bill W., not mine. Hey, do like you do usually, and make up a cute pejorative nickname for me, just like you do with the pats and their coach. THAT will show 'em how smart you are. Excuse me now, while I bow to your superior intellect.
