Toronto Really Loves the Buffalo Bills

Who knew Toronto had so many Buffalo Bills fans? Or maybe it's just that they're tired of watching the bastardized version of football that passes for the CFL. Whatever, the Bills are playing two games in Canada next season -- a preseason and regular-season contest -- and four months out, there have been more than 100,000 requests for tickets.
While it's believed a great portion of the fan interest is coming directly from the host city for the Bills games, which includes one preseason and one regular season game this year, Bills Toronto Series organizers are also working with Tourism Toronto to develop ticket and hotel packages so that out of town Bills fans can experience the NFL action and experience all that Toronto has to offer.
As FanHouse's Michael David Smith pointed out in February, this could be good news for Buffalo-area Bills fans; in general, season tickets are a racket since you're forced to purchase preseason games as part of the deal. In 2008, the fine citizens of Canada will share the cost of an otherwise meaningless preseason game.

Of course, knowing how well Steelers fans travel, and that Buffalo will face Pittsburgh in Toronto for the preseason get-together, I wouldn't be at all shocked if the stadium was decked out in black and gold. Call it a hunch.
