We've been hearing for weeks that the Dallas Cowboys were close to working out a trade with the Tennessee Titans to acquire suspended cornerback Adam Pacman Jones, but the most recent report indicated that the trade was probably off.Well, now there's a more recent report saying it's back on. Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports (via PFT) that the teams are back to work on trying to figure out a compromise, and that Jones could be a Cowboy as soon as this week. It appears that the Cowboys are saying they'll give the Titans a sixth-round pick, the Titans are saying they want a fourth-round pick, and they'll probably find some middle ground.
Jones is still suspended, but the conventional wisdom around the NFL is that if he doesn't get in any more trouble, Commissioner Roger Goodell will let him back in the league relatively soon. If so, the Cowboys could add a very talented player to their 2008 roster.

1. This guy is probably one of the most bone headed yet arrogant athletes on the planet today. He pulls this stuff, then hides behind working with "kids". Fact is he a con man, not a very good one as he continues to make poor choices after "saying" how he's changed. Commissioner Goodell wil probably have to reinstate him because of the players union. Jerry Jones is trying to help his team with this clown but he will eventually be sorry for this move. A con man doesn't change it's stripes.

2. middle ground between 4 and 6...hmm...nope, that wouldnt work...well, maybe...5 seems to be a good number, but that'd be too easy...well, I GUESS THAT'D BE A GOOD PLACE TO START.
dear god, retards.
seriously, if the boys can get pacman for a 5th round pick? really? PULL THE TRIGGER, DOUBLE J. what 5th round player is going to be that good? if he acts retarded again, cut him, there will be guys to fill that spot if he messes up. since when does Jerry care about character guys?
that said, if i was 31 other teams, i wouldnt trade a, now defunct, 10th round pick for him.

4. Pacman is worth the risk. Most fifth rounders don't make it anyway. Oh, and what's a recent first rounder named Bobby Carpenter doing. I think he is riding the bench which shows the draft is a crapshoot anyway, i.e., Tony Romo not even drafted.

5. When are sports media advisors going to realize that Pacman is not and probably will never be an NFL player without Goodell's permission. Speculation is fine but reality is golden. Goodby Pacman and rest in piece. The arena league doesn't even want you!!
