Olympic athletes often don't get paid to do anything other than look good. In that vein, Attractive Olympians handicaps which athletes may rake in endorsement deals after the Olympics.Ana Ivanovic is currently the second-ranked women's tennis player in the world. Though she has yet to win a Grand Slam tournament, she has twice reached a final, losing the 2007 French Open and the 2008 Australian Open to Justine Henin and Maria Sharapova, respectively. Not bad for someone who's only twenty years old.
Her native Serbia clearly believes she has more to accomplish, as Ivanovic's image was recently placed on a postage stamp in her home country in honor of the approaching Beijing Games.

Certainly, her talent is indisputable ... but what about her looks? It would be far too noble to judge a female athlete on her accomplishments alone, so let's examine her more closely. After the jump, enjoy more photos, half-assed analysis, and the unapologetically superficial poll.

1. She's going to be in the Olympics sweet? Now, the cynic would point out that she already rakes in endorsements (such as Adidas). But the man in me will just enjoy this post.

6. Licking her backside? Seriously. Didn't they do away with stamps that you actually have to lick about 5 years ago? They're all stickers now, so no licking is involved. That joke would've been funny in 2003.

7. There are some really beautiful Serbs, Czechs, Slovaks, Russians, eastern europeans women out there. Many of them also have brains too! They use to be the butt of jokes for their manly characteristics but when they are hot...they are hot. When they speak english they drive me mad with lust.

8. When Ivanovic played Sharapova in the Australian open, it was the best women's tennis match I've ever seen. I don't remember the score, but watching 2 beautiful, long-legged women running all over the court was a sight to behold!

14. These female athletes are attractive only by comparison. In the general female population they don't rate a second look.

15. A very shallow blog, unapologetic or not. I'm guessing shallow parents and a certain upbringing have much to do with that in the end, regardless of what you would or wouldn't be willing to admit.

16. The tennis player looks like my 43-year-old neighbor, Jack, a plumber, in some of the pictures.

17. Amazing, white folk would rather go to the Eastern Europeans who have not won major competitions to ordain them American champions of beauty, than to see the beauty in either of the two female tennis champions who put women's tennis in its personal and commercial prosperous place. Women tennis players have begun to have paydays equal to men because advertisers have benefited from the influx of new viewers to women's tennis. Why? Women's tennis has become exciting from the day Venus and Serena Williams walked on. Yet, they get relegated to an obscure place because narrow minded males continue to measure females based on the calibration of their hormone levels and not the talent and professionalism of the players. Grow up!
