Titans Don't Get Much Prime Time Love

Has the national television media gotten tired of Vince Young?

Last year the Titans had two prime time games, which gave the Titans a chance to show again how Young is one of the more interesting quarterbacks in the game--with the ability to turn a broken play into a highlight.

And the Titans seemed to live up to those expectations by earning a playoff spot, but when the 2008 schedule was released, Tennessee has only one prime time game--a Monday Nighter against the Colts on Oct. 27. They also have a Thanksgiving game against the Lions.

Tennessee could still end up with another prime time game if they're picked for a flex-schedule game late in the season, but for now, it's a pretty sparse prime-time slate for a team that should be battling for a playoff spot, especially when you consider that the Cardinals have a pair of prime time games.

The good news for Tennessee is that the overall schedule is pretty friendly. Of course the Titans have the traditional pair of games against the Colts and Jags, but the Packers and the Steelers are the only other 2007 playoff teams on the schedule. However, there are a number of teams, like the Vikings, Texans and Lions who were just on the edge of the playoffs last year.
