As I've written before, I think having Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan as the best player available when the
Jets' pick comes up on Saturday would be the worst-case scenario. I don't think the Jets need a quarterback, I'm not convinced that Ryan will be a great one, and the Jets haven't shown interest in Ryan.
But as we get closer to the draft, more and more people are convinced that the Jets' lack of interest is a smokescreen, and that Ryan is actually the guy the Jets want.
Peter King of SI.com is the latest to report that "The Jets love Matt Ryan." Several other media outlets have reported that Ryan is a real possibility for the Jets with the sixth overall pick.
Of course, King and those other media outlets could be falling for a smokescreen, too. But Ryan is now looking like a real possibility for the Jets with the sixth overall pick.
