Yesterday we noted that a photograph on a pornographic web site appeared to show Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens. The photo itself was not quite pornographic, but it did show Owens in the background, grinning from ear to ear, while a scantily clad woman in the foreground looked seductively at the camera.
Still, even if "not quite pornographic," it was apparently more than Owens wanted to be associated with. The Philadelphia Daily News reports that the porn side that initially posted the picture has now re-posted it with Owens cropped out. Presumably Owens or his representatives objected to being associated with it.
And that objection makes sense. Owens hasn't exactly cultivated the image of a choir boy, but he is a marketable star who has endorsement deals with major companies. Hard-core porn sites aren't generally the kinds of things major companies want their stars associated with.

1. And what do they think the cropped picture will prevent? Countless people have seen and saved the original, which will forever live on in the dark corners of the internet. Once something's online, it can never be hidden again.
