Anthony Gargano of WIP radio in Philadelphia is reporting on ESPN that Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison is accused of being involved in a recent shooting at a bar Harrison owns in his home town of Philadelphia.According to Gargano, police have uncovered a gun registered to Harrison in connection with the incident. Gargano reports that a fistfight broke out when Harrison escorted a man out of his bar, called Playmakers. When the man fled, gunfire was exchanged. The man's car was struck by a bullet and his hand was grazed, and a young girl suffered a minor injury when broken glass hit her, Gargano reported.
Neither Harrison nor anyone else has been arrested in connection with the incident. Gargano reports that police are awaiting witnesses coming forward, but that one witness is prepared to testify that Harrison was the shooter.
Harrison is generally known as a quiet, reserved person who does not get involved in off-field trouble.

1. Okay I just have to say that this is insane. Marvin Harrison is a great guy and I don't know him well, but I can guarantee that this is false. I cannot believe this even if it is true.

2. On Wednesday, according to the source, ballistic tests showed that the gun that had fired the shots was a custom-made Belgian weapon, and police determined that Harrison owned such a gun.
Strange. This happened in a less than nice section of North Philly.

3. Maybe he can get traded to the jail where Michael Vick is, that team could put a scare into some nfl teams, lol

4. Colts4ever- It's certainly surprising, but to guarantee its falsehood is pretty damn stupid.

6. I find it amusing that people who have no idea who Marvin Harrison is immediately come to his defense. Why? Because they watch him catch footballs on Sunday, and he never acts like a fool then.
They are entertainers, people. You don't know them simply because you are a fan of their work on the field and listen to their sound bites after the game.

7. You never know if the witness who is accusing Marvin Harrison of shooting the person has an ax to grind or if it is miskaten idenity. There is a saying that is "The outside you see the inner person you don't."

8. I only hope that the allegations prove false. Marvin Harrison has always been the consumate professional, a great receiver, and from every indication an upstanding person. Young athletes have always been able to admire his quiet, dignified resolve. Say it ain't so, Marvin.

13. I read a line in the article that stated "gunfire was exchanged". The word exchanged tells me somebody else fired a shot. As an owner of the establishment Harrison may well have been within his rights to not only carry a weapon, but also to protect himself with it. Let more facts come into this case.

17. A simple test for gun powder residue will determine if harrison fired the weapon. The police should get that done quickly. It is hard to beleive he's an all too typical thug but, if he did it, the Colts should drop him like a hot potato.

18. I hope this gets to the Colts or Marvin..... I do understand your frustrated when people come at you..
You have to understand by steppin aside for just a sec and think before you act..... I believe in you... I know that you like to be by yourself to think because i am in the same boat... I deal with close to hundereds daily at a gas station.... I would be believe you didn't do this, but what has been said is hard not to.... Bars bring the bad out of others drinking or not..... I am not demeaning bars but people with agendas go there... That's why you see alot of accidents(not all) at them..... Set back and think, take a few days, don't hide if ya did it...... Your a good guy ..... You don't go shooting up clubs and beat people every day..... You acted out when frustrated ..... if ya did it don't be a ROGER CLEMENS OR A PACMAN JONES OR BARRY BONDS admit to the wrong and I still will love you even with this discretion!!!!
