A difficult week in the Eastern Conference presented each team with unique challenges. Week 6 shed some light on what these sides are made of, and there are certainly plenty of fans taking notice of the results. Columbus still reigns at the top of a very talented table, while New York and New England are still struggling to put it all together. Results and recaps after the jump, including our belated breakdown of Thursday night's primetime match up.

A scrappy primetime affair on the "frozen tundra" of BMO Field. A healthy dose of TFC supporters braved the miserable weather to watch Laurent Robert and company slug out a draw with Red Bull. Even with Angel back in the mix, RBNY's offensive struggles continued. TFC's steady improvement continues as Amado Guevara seems to be taking to his second chance in MLS.
Kansas City Wizards 1 - Columbus Crew 2
Break up the Columbus Crew. Another fine showing for the Sigi Schmid's team as they take care of the Wizards. We have been known to heap plenty of praise on KC, but they're road trip woes continue. Claudio Lopez did managed to get on the scoresheet, however, with a penalty kick in the 79th.
Chicago Fire 3 - New England Revolution 0
New England's revenge will probably have to be put on hold until the next time these two rivals meet. Chicago has now scored 7 goals in their 2 meetings with the Revolution this season, and the Fire seem prepared to take their own revenge for last season's elimination all year long. Chris Rolfe opened up the scoring, slotting it past Matt Reis in the 29th minute for a successful return from the DL.
