Great title, great fit! I know you jordan fans don't like to hear it, however when kobe's career is over, the comparisons are always going to be there. There are things that kobe has accomplished that jordan has not and vice-versa. Either way, it's all good for the game and debate.

Kobe better take it easy, this time ( injured back) there will be a lot more chances to prove his talent.

We will see when kobe's career is over if he doesn't have more pts, more mvps, more 40 & 50 pt. games, more championships? You can give all the excuses you want but kobe has an 81 pt game and also a game where he scored 56 pts in a game and didn't play the 4th. Most people will tell you that kobe is a better scorer than jordan was. Remember kobe has at probably 5 to 7 yrs left in his career assuming he stays healthy.

Kobe was frustrated, he wants teammates that are going to produce and match his intensity. He has that now and the team chemistry is great. This whole group hangs out together and they got each others back. By the way the home team has been winning at home so far and if that holds up the lakers will be in the nba finals where they match-up well with anyone from the east. Also without kobe shaq doesn't get any titles. They needed each other. There were times when shaq carried kobe and vice-versa.

Michael Jordan is a perfect 6-0 in the finals. Kobe is part of one of the most embarrasing upsets in finals history against the Pistons. The fact that Kobe started playing pro basketball at 18, Jordan started playing at around 22, and retired twice, Kobe surpassing Jordans scoring totals won't mean anything. In fact , Kobe is not anywhere near Magic Johnson's greatness.

Kobe is a joke...He backstabs his team mates when they are losing and is mr nice guy when they are winning....He is a great ball player but in no way has the ability to lead a team to a championship...Shaq is the reason they won their championship before...Wait and see...When the Lakers get knocked out of the playoffs this year...Kobe will have an excuse...and it won't be HIS fault...Kobe is nothing but a wanna be...He even tries to speak like MJ....what a JOKE!

Excuses, excuses, sounds like a crybaby. Detroit played a great series as a team. They deserved the rings at that time. What excuse do you have knowing that jordan couldn't get a ring until bird, magic, and isiah all retired. Jordan won his rings against lesser competition, because all the big names retired. In fact they beat utah twice and utah didn't make the finals until magic and showtime were gone. How about that?

When kobe's career is over, the numbers will speak for themselves. And you can give all the excuses you want about jordan, however kobe will go down as one of the premier players of all time. You can take that to the bank.

If I'm not mistaken, the Bulls beat the Pistons in the eastern conference finals in 1991 (and Isaiah Thomas was playing in the series). Then they beat the Lakers in the finals in '91 (and Magic was playing in that series as well). So therefore, Jordan did played against one of the greatest players in the NBA. I'm not here to compare Jordan and Kobe because I feel that both of them are great players in their own way. Kobe is Kobe and Jordan is Jordan. End of story!

The biggest difference b-tween Jordan and Kobe, is one of them is a media darling... Cause if not, how could Nash won two MVP's in a row with no D in his game. Kobe got approximatively the same stats than last year and it was Nowitzky the MVP.The mentality was everybody before KB even though he deserved it...2004-2005 the media punished him for his Colorado mistake maybe they're the same ones that hide 1991 Jordan' extra conjugual !@#$%^???

I'm a lakers fan but if kobe's back affects him like it did in the last game I think this is as far as the lakers will go in the playoffs . I was watching kobe and he couldn't even get off the ground.... there is no way Utah would have won that game if kobe was even 70% .... damn injuries alway kill the lakers , I hope it doesn't happen again.

MJ- 6 NBA championships, 6 Finals MVP's in 11 full seasons playing for the Bulls (85-86 hurt mostly, 94-95 retirement come back), 5 league MVP's, 10 scoring titles, NBA record highest playoff scoring avg in career 33.45, NBA record highest career scoring average 30.68 with the Bulls, 3 steals titles, all NBA defensive 1st team 9 times.
Kobe- 3 NBA championships, 0 Finals MVP's (wasn't even the best player on his own team during championships) in 11 full season playing for the Lakers, 1 league MVP, 2 scoring titles, playoff scoring avg in career 24.2, career scoring average 25, 0 steals titles, all NBA defensive 1st team 6 times.
MJ heroics in all the big games on the biggest stage. It's not even comparable people and it never will be.
