We're 10 days away from UFC 84, which is slated to be the last fight for Tito Ortiz in UFC. But Ortiz himself is leaving open the possibility that he could stay with the organization -- provided UFC President Dana White shows Ortiz the respect that he thinks he deserves. When asked if there was a possibility that he could stay in UFC after his current contract runs out this month, White told Ariel Helwani of Fox Sports:
You know what it really comes down to is just (UFC president) Dana White. If he learns to shut his mouth and learns to respect me there is a possibility yet. (He needs to) give a public apology for the things that he has done. That is just what it really comes down to, but I want to go with a company that is going to respect me and see me as the champion I am and the ambassador that I am of the sport and not really downplay me or disrespect me on television or anything else.White and Ortiz have often made critical comments about each other, and I seriously doubt an apology is forthcoming from either side. But I do think it's reasonable to think that the two of them could simply decide that they both make more money together than they can apart. Don't assume that Ortiz is done with UFC just yet.

Tito helped bring this sport back to the mainstream and deserves the respect, if you can't understand that, go back to watching WWE with the staged outcomes.

17. Dana White has used guys like Tito and Lidell to make himself rich. They, and others, made the sport along with the Station casinos brothers money. Dana was a washedup boxing guy before he used others money to purchans the UFC. He should respect them and lower his self-agrandisement more than a little. White is becoming a Don King in the sport of MMA. It is time he paid the fighters as much as boxers get. Especially for pay-for-view. If not, they will dump his pinky ass. Is Dana gay? Each ufc pay-per-view sells for $50. UFC 66, Ortiz vs Liddell had over a MILLION buys. Thats $50,000,000 on pay-per-view sales alone... Plus $5 MIL at the gate. Ok, thats $55 MILLION the ufc brought in. Tito MIGHT, MIGHT have made one million for the fight. Half automatically goes to taxes, thats 500,000 left. He has to pay training partners, coaches, gym, equiptment, etc... After all is said and done, he might end up with 350-400,000. While the ufc makes MILLIONS for doin NOTHING. This is such a big deal because only big names like tito see this kind on $, some guys make as little as 1,000 per fight. Tito, for a while, was the only one speaking on it... so Dana crucified him, attacking his rep. Tito is looking out for his best intrest, and I dont blame him. Hes the one in there fighting, NOT dana.
