I guess Titan quarterback Vince Young was jealous of his 2006 draft classmate Cardinal quarterback Matt Leinart in the embarrassing party pix department.
Blogxilla.com, a blog discussing "Urban Life Daily," received some pictures that the sender claimed was Vince Young at a bar getting his drink on in Austin Texas. The site has a series of pictures of shirtless Vince Young and friends, including one where he looks to be drinking what appears to be Silver Patrón tequila straight from the bottle. (I worked in bars to pay for school, so uh, I think that is a good guess).

Blogxilla's comment on the pictures, "It looks like a Sausage party to me b/c I don't see nearly enough women around to warrant taking off anyone's shirt!!! It's just not right!!!"
I'm not sure I have much to add to that, other than I suppose I understand now why it was so important to Young to go back to Austin to work on his college degree.

1. Vince is just having fun.

2. Man, Vince has a huge head.
But he is OK, I can't have a problem with a guy going to a bar in the offseason. Even if he is taking off his shirt, which is kind of weird.

4. At least with his name tattooed on his back, everyone knew who he was with his shirt off.

5. There's ladies in the background: only 1 in this one, but several more in the others.
Not the best impression ever, but I don't really have a problem with dude letting lose at the club.

6. Really Jan, A 23 year old dude can't drink at a bar without 'setting a bad example' or being 'tacky'? It's not like VY is funneling booze down the gullets of some ladies who are almost certainly not 21...
If someone's kids are ruined by these pictures, the they didn't do such a hot job raising them.

7. Also Steph,
The fat white guy with them (he's in another pic from the same set) is Houston Texans O-lineman Kasey Studdard, and the guy to VY's left os almost certainly Michael Huff.

8. These football players have to realize that there are photogs out there watching their every more. Shirtless at a bar? Tacky actions for both Matt and Vince, who are paid big money to have their kissers photographed by the public. Is this the kind of image they want? What about the kids seeing these pics?

9. I thought Vince would be a little more ripped than that.

I think you are right with the identification of Studdard, but I didn't know for sure and he wasn't identified by the blog.
I think the bigger issue with the Leinart/Young picture is that teams have a huge investment in their quarterbacks, and there is a way that you want them to conduct themselves.
Jason Whitlock a few years ago got into a little controversy before Young's draft talking about how he didn't believe that Young was taking the professionalism of NFL quarterbacking job seriously. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=whitlock/060309&campaign=rsssrch&source=jason_whitlock
At the time, I thought some of his criticism was overblown (talking about posses), and some of the criticism legitimate (talking about his inexperienced agent).
The platonic form of the hard working NFL quarterback these days is Peyton Manning. Professional, successful, no one in his locker room works harder. When you look at partying QB pictures, try picture Peyton Manning doing the same thing. It's a pretty funny thought experiment.

11. Sandy, you would think so but he's not much of an offseason guy (as you can see) but at least he's not like JaMarcus Russel. If you saw that guy topless you would likely be scarred for life. VY likes to coast off of natural ability but it's clearly catching up to him because he's just average statistically and relies way too much on his feet. Even when drunk Kerry Collins steps in, he throws for 350+ yards, 2TDs.

12. @ Steph:
Peyton has had 10+ years to prove himself. Vince has had 2. Lets give the man a little time to prove what he can do. Most people don't realize that when Vince went back to UT, he scheduled all of his classes on Mon-Tues so that he could spend the rest of the week working 1-on-1 with our old-new OC in Nashville (that's what 'Dinger said on 106.7FM The Fan last week).
Limited perception begets a poor judgement of reality, and as fans we're all limited in what we know. Still enjoy your work though... It's nice to have a playful antagonist I respect.
@ milton
Kerry didn't finish a single drive in the end zone last year, or throw for over 280 yards in a single game. Bironas had to kick like 8 FGs because Collins could finish a single drive against the Texans. In fact, Collins hasn't thrown 2 TDs as a Titan in the 2 years he's been here, so yeah. Go find something you know about to comment on, haus.

14. @12-
AW, I know that VY has been going back and forth from Austin to Nashville, dividing his time between his studies, (I guess, his partying), and his quarterbacking.
It is when you are starting out in a job, before you are established, that it is the most important to preserve your good will and create a good impression.
It is okay for an NFL quarterback to go to a bar.
Probably not a good idea to wander around shirtless, no matter how much you like your tattoos.
A really bad idea to swig tequila in public out of the bottle.
And demonstrates really bad judgment especially after the Leinart pictures became a big deal. Everybody has picture phones and if you are a famous person, you better expect people to use them.
I'm a UT grad, and actually predicted big things for Young. Like all players, he has his strengths and weaknesses. And one of his weaknesses is his judgment at times. Yeah, these are just pictures. But an NFL quarterback, at year 3 or year 10+ is expected to conduct himself in a professional way.
Thanks for the kind words.

15. "Probably not a good idea to wander around shirtless, no matter how much you like your tattoos."
So I guess that makes Matthew McConaughey the antichrist.
Just kidding ya, kind of... If I saw VY out at a bar during the off season, I'd probably buy the man that bottle of Tequila if he promised me he'd take off and run more once the play breaks down!
Go Titans!

16. "The platonic form of the hard working NFL quarterback these days is Peyton Manning. Professional, successful, no one in his locker room works harder. "
Sure. With Peyton, all you have to worry about is if there are female trainers around for him to moon like he did in college. And then him getting sued for dragging her through the mud again when he have his version of those events to his biographer after turning pro.

17. @16 nashton-
LOL. I was waiting for someone to bring up the female training story. Not saying that Manning is a perfect person, but as far as his NFL career, you can't deny that he is probably one of the hardest working NFL QBs in the league, and everyone knows it.
For NFL QBs, it isn't enough just to work hard, you have to be perceived as working hard or fans and teammates will lose faith in you. QBs are expected to be leaders and example setters for the team, and if they are not making football their top priority, then why should their teammates?
I really don't want to overblow this set of pictures, but in combination with the perception that Young is more interested in re-living his college experiences than football, it is probably not a high point for him.
