Damm, who has been nicknamed "Beauty But The Beast" and "MMA Barbie," was found to have a nandralone count of 37.9 nanograms per milliliter -- or nearly 20 times the permissible threshold of 2 ng/ml -- after her 11-second knockout win over Lashonda Knox on April 3 in Los Angeles.
The California State Athletic Commission said Damm is the first female athlete to test positive for steroids in California, and she is believed to be the first female MMA fighter to test positive for steroids anywhere. She was fined $2,500 and suspended from sanctioned MMA fighting for one year.

4. They are not learning a lesson ! What an idiot she is, after all the steroid controversey over baseball, and Marion Jones. I guess she thought she had special privileges beefing up like a fake instead of working hard for the beef ! She needs to be fined and suspended...now see how she likes not competing for a year !!

5. Well here we go again I think the issue of steroids are being blowing out of proportion.I think more emphasis needs to be on drugs like cocaine crack ,if you don't have God given talent steroids are not going to help you that much anyway. There is a witch hunt out now I think there should be more focus on the economy.

10. What ever happened to winning fair? What are we teaching our kids? It's okay to take drugs to give us the edge over our competition. How about training harder and smarter and not cutting corners. These athletes that take steriods are pathetic and have serious issues with themselves.

13. I'm really blown away by the stupidity of people in these competitions. It's almost certain that they're going to be tested for some kind of performance enhancing drug and they take the chance anyway. She might have had a chance at the gold or silver before the steroids. But now there's nothing but shame and loss of what she had already gained. What a way to learn a lesson.
