Apparently under the impression that he's suspended because Roger Goodell doesn't know any better, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones says he's going to call the commissioner to try to persuade him to end the suspension. From Albert Breer of the Dallas Morning News:What, exactly, does Jones think he can say to Goodell that Goodell hasn't already heard? Saying he's sorry for all the things he did that got him suspended, saying he promises to be a good citizen, saying he wants to play football again -- those are all things Goodell has already heard. If anything, a phone call from Jones is likely to get on Goodell's nerves and make him less inclined to help Jones out."I still have to go through the process, and I'm just waiting, waiting every day," Jones said. "I'm ready to get in there and learn the defense. And I've been out of the game for a year, so I need to shake off all the rust to get ready to play. ... I'm going to put in a call to the commissioner some time soon and hope he at least lets me work out with the team."

Pacman Jones should be suspended forever from the NFL. Goodell has to and will keep him fom playing this year. To pardon him again would sent the wrong message to the players in the NFL.Just because Dallas wants him does not mean the NFL or the public want him back. Go get a real job, oh I'm sorry you can't do that beacause of your record, or go to another planet.

That's so badass that there's no longer a Titans tag on stories about this loser.
Thanks MDS!

He'll be on the field for the Cowboys in September.
Look at it this way, by Goodell allowing Jones to play immediately, he takes a little bit of heat from the 30-40% of the football world that are not(yet) Cowboys fans. This will take enough focus off of the fact that Goodell has been filibustering on Spygate.
It's like when your leg is broken and throbbing in pain, and someone puts a cigarette out on your forehead. This catches you off guard and immediately, although temporarily, you have forgotten about your broken wheels.
Nobody ever said Roger was smart. He's just reacting.
