CBS is walking a tightrope as it attempts to promote its most important mixed martial arts fighter, Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson. Most people who know who Slice is know him from his backyard brawls on YouTube. Attracting those people is a crucial part of making next week's EliteXC MMA show a success, but so is attracting advertisers who would be turned off by that element.
Here's CBS's attempt at splitting the difference:
I think it works pretty well: It establishes Slice as a tough guy, but as a law-and-order tough guy. That's what CBS needs to get across.
After the jump, another CBS/Kimbo commercial, this one featuring Kimbo's mom.

The first ad is a blatent lie when it states that Kimbo fights the best in MMA. He would get destroyed by any of the top heavyweights from UFC or Pride.
