If that's all you have 2 do 2 beat the champion n the UFC then I'm not sure I'll be watching any longer. The only major damage Griffin inflicted was from the leg kicks, & besides that he landed about 2 elbows n mount (2nd Round) & 1 combination (5th Round) that did minor damage. Most of his strikes were blocked by Rampage's elbows & weren't thrown with the intent 2 damage. The arguement about the triangle choke was invalid because at no point did it seem like rampage was in trouble. I mean when you have time to adjust your grip for a powerbomb while in a fully locked triangle choke I'd say you weren't close to tapping.

Well... some of you need to understand sports more if you think Rampage won that fight.
Im not going to say Griffin raped him but he did win, for me Rampage after that second round leg kick just seemed to die off.
Also on point scoring, hits to the arms arent counted, they are scored as blocks this is what most of Rampages shot were hitting, he hit him with 1 then the 2nd got blocked by griffin.
Also, keep your eyes out for all the hits + the leg kick in the 2nd. The following rounds just saw Griffin hitting him more and more with kicks to the legs and punches to the face, for every 2 punches Rampage threw Griffin threw 4. 50% of those shots all missed or hit in no score zones.. IE: Arms.
Griffin kicked in every round hitting Rampages legs, these score also in UFC considering Rampage barely kicked Griffin, in fact i dont think he actually kicked once.
Griffin won it, not by much but he won it.
Just accept the decision and wait for the rematch.
Peace.

I am a Forest Griffen Fan - I have followed the UFC from the very first one. If I see one more fight like this I will never pay for another fight. I have watched the fight over and over and cant see what the judges seen. It was close but Rampage clearly won the 1st 3rd and 4th round. That means something is going wrong with my beloved UFC. I quit paying to watch boxing matches for this very reason. I guess everyone has a price.

Derrick,0-0 and Jaydog,
It seems that if you guys know so much more than the UFC judges, you should get off the couch and become judges yourselves...or become a fighter and show us how easily you could beat Griffin.
Carlos, you should just stop watching now so we don't have to read your B.S. postings. I guess you would say Dana doesn't like Anderson Sylva or Rashad Evans wouldn't you?

The judges finally got one right, Forrest outscored rampage without a doubt. Rampage is so slow and flat footed he relies on the big right hand so much that he doesnt use anything else. Now his coach can retire like he said and go fishing with his gay hat.

Having watched the fight twice, for me, to be crowned champion, u need to win it. Not edge it. Look at their faces, no way rampage was beaten, a draw at most. Forest rocks, and we love him, but that was not convincing, winning a UFC belt on leg kicks.... na, Rampage did enough to keep his belt. Not saying its fixed, but u can not be champ by just surviving and throwing some leg kicks. Lets face it, Rampage looked dangerous all the time and forest was a mess by the end. As for the judge who gave rampage only 1 round.... in the words of forset "what, are you kidding me"

I do not want to believe that the fight was rigged, but I could definitely see the motive for a close fight to be given to Forrest. If rampage won like he was expected to do the next Rampage title defense would not have brought in near what Forrest first defense and then rematch with Rampage will bring in. But I think that the problem is that MMA needs it's own scoring system. It adopted the 10pt. must system from boxing and most of the judges are boxing judges. The only thing I felt what Forrest displayed was he can take a punch, throw leg kicks, and stay busy. You can tell he was very versed on how to play the game. Probably from training with Randy the natural. Forrest looked like he fought a lawnmower and rampage had a limp and was never in real danger of being submitted. If someone says he had him in that triangle, that would never have worked with someone as powerful as rampage and Forrest new it. I think unless leg kicks are capitalized on after they are thrown they should not score points. I have seen more and more decisions squeezed out using leg kicks, but I rarely see fights finished with them. I want to see them stand and fight not kicking each others legs and winning decisions. Anderson Silva will beat Forrest for sure, Rampage will beat Wanderlei Silva. Then you will see Liddell face the winner of Silva Jackson after he wins his next fight. Let me know your scenario predictions

Forrest won the fight based on the rules. I feel the rules should be changed to be there own not boxing`s. The mma companys should look at coming up with their own judging system for all companys involed in MMA. That would keep it from falling to the side like boxing.

although im a rampage fan i like to keep an open mind. just today i saw that fight and i loved watching it. it was a great fight, but the judging ticked me off a bit. if they were gonna give it to forrest it would be at least a 49/48, but to me it looks like rampage was much closer to victory than forrest. i have been a long time UFC fan but this has really tested my patience

the fight was thrown by rampage as any moron could see.why is the question? my theory is that dana white and the boys need a marketable champion and we know griffin is far more marketable than jackson, afterall you see more white faces in the crowd than you do blacks.a white champ means more ticket sales.if rampage was to dominate the 205 lb. class fight after fight the ufc would lose its luster to the white male population in the u.s.and this is who is buying tickets.right now the ufc is in its diaper stage and it cannot afford this.its all about money, but the ufc had better be careful because the fans are not stupid.you can bet rampage was compensated well for throwing the fight if its any consulation.
