Venus Williams Beats Serena Williams, Wins 5th Wimbledon Championship

Venus Williams defeated little sister Serena Williams in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, on a windy day at the All England Club to secure the fifth Wimbledon singles title of her career.

It was the seventh time Venus played Serena in a Grand Slam final, and only the second time that Venus won. It's the seventh Grand Slam singles title for Venus Williams, who has also won the U.S. Open twice.

"I can't believe that it's five," Venus said afterward. "When you're in the final against Serena Williams, five seems so far away."

The Williams sisters will be back on Centre Court at Wimbledon one more time, playing together in the doubles final.
