Later this morning, Kobe Bryant and the rest of Team USA will put their "Redeem Team" moniker to the test by taking on the reigning Olympic champs from Argentina in the semifinals. Will the U.S. finally avenge their 2004 loss? Or will Argentina's vaunted team play confuse and confound yet again?

NBA Draft Live Blog: Thursday at 7

There's already been plenty of movement around the league leading up to this draft -- including the Clippers/Sonics rumor and the Richard Jefferson to Milwaukee (sucka!) deal -- and no one really knows what's going to happen tonight. (Except the guy above, Rose, who's kicking it because he's going early, he's gonna be rich, and he knows it.)

We think Chicago is going to take Derrick Rose, but really, with the loose cannon that is John Paxson running that ship into the ground they might not. As for number two, Pat Riley could do anything. He's been posturing all week and acting more like Phil Helmuth than the GM of an NBA team, pretending to have "secret workouts" and such, in an attempt to scare Chicago into doing whatever it is that he wants.

Which is anyone's best guess. Anyway, I'll be hear live blogging the event with some special guests* throughout the evening, so swing by and drop your comments in the live blog.

The draft starts at 7:00 pm but we'll try and get things going a little earlier for everyone's sake.

NBA Finals Wrap-Up: Live Chat

The Celtics are the champs, and this glorious NBA season has finally come to an end. So let's talk about it! Join me and the FanHouse crew as we discuss the Celtics' dominating performance, what's next for the Lakers, and who might be here next year. We'll get things started at 1PM EST, so have your questions and comments ready to go.

NBA Finals Game 6 Live Blog

Kobe and the Lakers are back in Boston, where the NBA season will come to its conclusion either tonight or on Thursday. The Lakers are obviously hoping for the latter, after winning Game 5 and making the trip to the East coast, I'm sure they'd like to stay for a few days.

The Celtics have plenty of things mounting against them: the injuries to Rondo and Perkins, Ray Allen's family situation, Paul Pierce playing all 48 minutes of Game 5, and even some airplane issues that delayed their return flight. But the home crowd might be able to lift them to overcome all that, as they'll no doubt be on the edge of their seats waiting for the Celtics to deliver the championship tonight. Things get rolling at 9PM EST, join me right here for all the action.

NBA Finals Game 5 Live Blog

The Celtics likely crushed all hopes the Lakers had of winning this series when they staged the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history in Game 4. I was there, and it was ugly, people ... for the Laker fans anyway. But hey, I'm coming out of my three day stupor just for you, so we can see if the Celtics can win their first title since 1986 tonight on the Lakers' home floor.

This isn't a good time for me to be alone right now, so please, whether it's to twist the knife or lend some support, join me at 9PM EST for all the action.

NBA Finals Game 4 Live Blog

Hey! Imagine that! The Lakers were clearly "finished" after losing the first two games of the NBA Finals (in Boston, mind you) and then handled the Celtics in Game 3. And without Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom even getting to the arena before halftime, to boot.

So, as a result, Uncle Mo hops back on his wilding moving swing and heads back in the direction of the Mighty Kobe Bryants. And we have a Game 4, which, obviously means lots of things. Because it's the freaking Finals.

But what is most important is that a statement win by the Lakers tonight will send America and more importantly, the Boston media, into an ohmah-gahd, the Celtics are done! frenzy, thus resulting in more of the Curt Schilling and Kobe Bryant feud. Oh, and of course, LA's to sweep at home and take a 3-2 lead.

But, and I nearly forgot, we still have to play tonight (and if Boston wins, people really will start talking about LA being finished). Which is what we're doing here. Boston at Los Angeles.

Nine PM sharp. You, me and whoever else swings by. Blog on.

NBA Finals Game 3 Live Blog

The best part about tonights game is that with the lake-joint already down 2-0 there's a tremendous amount of pressure on Kobe Bryant. (Captain Obvious, here, entertaining all night.)

That means though that he has a fun little quandry to deal with. Does he buck-cowboy-man up and score 75 or does he involve his teammates?

We know the latter works, but the first one is much more fun. Kind of. Kobe's legacy may depend on this game tonight; I just don't see the Lakers coming back from 3-1. Sorry, I just don't.

And I postulated as much before the series started. Although clearly I was wrong in hindsight, it was kind of tough to predict that Paul Pierce would return from a near fatal knee injury to bogart this series with his Schillanigans.

But before everyone freaks out, remember, the home team is supposed to win. Or have these playoffs not taught us anything? As of right now, the Celtics aren't locked into anything, the home team just held serve. Find out if the Lakers can do the same tonight.

Live blog kicks at nine sharp.

NBA Finals Game 2 Live Blog

All eyes will be on Paul Pierce tonight, as the Celtics look to once again get a Finals victory on their home court against the Lakers. Pierce's injury has been the major topic of discussion for three days now, and I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some actual basketball at this point.

Pierce will play tonight (as expected), but it'll be interesting to see if he's at all limited by his injured knee. Either way, the Lakers appear relaxed and ready to tie this series up at a game apiece. Was Pierce's injury all that serious? Can the Lakers bounce back? Let's find out together, starting a little before 9PM EST.
