China Will Straight Melt Your Face Off in Badminton, Son

The Chinese will, in case you didn't already know, straight melt your face off in badminton. What you probably think of as a drunk garden party distraction is taken to ruthless levels by the Chinese, as evidenced by this extremely long doubles rally between a Chinese duo and their Indonesian opponents. In case you don't possess our thirty word Chinese vocabulary, they're saying "good ball" and "beautiful" a lot in this clip.

The Sudirman Cup, the cash-free but prestige-heavy Badminton tournament taking place right now in the badminton hotbed that is Glasgow, Scotland, has again become a showplace for Chinese dominance, with the People's Republic storming through the tourney losing nary a set and completely blanking the British team altogether. The Malaysian team actually celebrated winning a single set off the Chinese, both for the significance of the feat, and because it was the only real success of note for the Malay team.

With China's inevitable win on the way, other storylines have emerged from the backdrop. (For all your badminton news, check Badzine.com, which you had no idea existed before you read this article. Don't even try to claim you knew it did.) The Korean and Indonesian teams, traditional powers in the sport, have looked predictably fit, but the real surprise have been the British, who have secured their first Sudirman Cup medal ever with a solid performance. Simply smashing, boys.
