1. Team McLovin (Mighty MJD) (SD) LaDainian Tomlinson RB
Why this guy: - So, I took Tomlinson. The appropriate reaction from the rest of you would be to just quit right now, because Team McLovin domination is assured.
Herrera says: - Can't go any other way. LDT is the first pick. It's a no-brainer and you'd be laughed at if you didn't take him.
You say: - I believe LT2 for MJD will lead him to this year's title. - BootsyLD / The same exact thing was said about Ricky Williams and after Ricky broke the TD record he never had a good season after that. Tomlinson is going to end up the same way, you can take my word on that and when he does suck, I say they trash mighty MJD. - dallas4life04
2. Sweet loco vibe (Marissa Silvera) (SF) Frank Gore RB
Why this guy: - The U baby! He's got heart!
Herrera says: - Definitely surprising pick at No. 2. Steven Jackson was the pick here. Gore's still dealing with a hand injury and I think his physical style may catch up with him this year.
You say: - Frank Gore may have heart, but heart won't stop an injury-plagued year. - wvudanks
3. da Chumps II (DJ Nestrick) (STL) Steven Jackson RB
Why this guy: - Sitting in my chair with the first frosty brew of the day in my hand, torn between LJ and Addai, Steven Jackson falls to me at #3. I will take it with no complaints!
Herrera says: - Action Jackson falls right into D.J.'s lap (not literally). He was my No. 2 pick without question.
You say: - Jackson at pick three is a gift from the fantasy gods. - bootsyld
4. Art Monk for Hall of Fame (John Schaefer) (KC) Larry Johnson RB
Why this guy: - I'm not too optimistic about L.J. after his holdout and past heavy workload, but I just can't pass him up.
Herrera says: - Questions abound for L.J. with rust, weakened O-line, and new QB - but Herman Edwards will pound him for another gigantic workload. Good pick here.
You say: - LJ will be just fine. He's been working his butt off in Arizona. - BootsyLD / I like the reference to Art Monk. I still can't believe the guy has not made it into the Hall of Fame. Just look at his career stats. - hightower94
5. Husky DawG (David Cole) (IND) Joseph Addai RB
Why this guy: - Love Addai's upside another year in the colts system. He is younger, stronger version of Edge James.
Herrera says: - I can't disagree with that. Many would have opted for Shaun Alexander here, but I'm an Addai lover as well.
You say: - Addai should be a top 5 running back at seasons end. Great pick! - emmit8422
6. Tuck Rule (Bryan Tucker) (IND) Peyton Manning QB
Why this guy: - I don't like to take QBs in the first round, but Peyton is a beast. I don't care about his playoff schedule.
Herrera says: - First surprise of the draft. This league does give 1 pt. per 20 pass yards and 6 pt. for TD, so it's justified, but I still think it's a bit too high.
You say: - In a 6 pt per TD league, Peyton Manning is absolutely the pick at 6. Or anywhere in the first round. - bootsyld
7. Bklyn Boy (Mike King) (PIT) Willie Parker RB
Why this guy: - Over 1,700 total yds.last season. TD production has improved every year.
Herrera says: - I like the pick, F.W.P. is very solid here and I think he will have even a bigger role in the passing game this year.

8. SonsofGibbs (G.E. Branch) (STL) Marc Bulger QB
Why this guy: - this draft is officially over ... "Down goes Frazier."
Herrera says: - I like Bulger a lot, but I am stunned. My jaw is still agape just like Frazier's was after he hit the canvas.
You say: - Drafting Bulger 9th is like drafting Josh McRoberts before Kevin Durant - wvudanks / I still cant tell whos the bigger retard. The chick who took Frank Gore or the guy that took Bulger? Why this guy: - I wanted Peyton Manning, but no luck there. I may be lucky getting Alexander with 9th pick if gets back to '05 form - he's right there with LT and LJ.
Herrera says: - Alexander's should be refreshed and fell into his lap all the way down at No. 9. Nice pick.
You say: - I would have loved to get Alexander at 9 in my draft - jim99mo
10. Tshimanga Biakabutuka (Tom Herrera) (PHI) Brian Westbrook RB
Why this guy: - Yeah, he always seems to be on the "questionable" list every friggin' week, but I can't doubt the guy's versatile ability to pile on the yardage, and McNabb's back.

11. The Bandit (Emil Morrow) (CIN) Rudi Johnson RB
Why this guy: - Solid performer and will make it through the season without an arrest.
Herrera says: - I can't guarantee the no-arrest part, but you can't go wrong with Rudi here. Rock solid.
You say: - Rudi will put up nice numbers this year, as will all the Bengals...excluding the defense - wvudanks
12. Fadeh Busi (Neal Scarbrough) (NE) Laurence Maroney RB
Why this guy: - I've got the 12-13 picks in two AOL drafts so far ... My vengeance will be Sundays....But someone is still getting fired.
Herrera says: - Nice pick at No. 12, I'm drinking the Koolaid a bit too. High expectations for Maroney as the sole Pats back.

dallas you are an idiot. You draft running backs first because they are the most important. There is a big point difference between a good hb and a decent hb. But there is only a lesser difference between a good qb and a decent qb.

I was interested to see what this would be. Honestly, it's pathetic. This is why we use professionals to do mock drafts. It's almost sad how the first round, and that's all I read, went down. Frank Gore 2nd? You're not serious. LT and Steven Jackson are 1, 2.

Marc Bulger in the first round? He's a 3rd rounder at best. You could have taken someone else and saved him for a later round. I don't even take my QB's until litterally, the 8th round. That's when you can get steals like Tony Romo and Philip Rivers.

Why did I even bother looking at this mock draft? Terrible.

I have some concerns about the O-line in Pittsburgh, but big Ben is looking really good, so I don't think defenses will be able to stack the line and Willie is going to find more open room this season. I like the pick

the scoring system you use in your league and the number of teams should definitely weigh in whether LT or Peyton was chosen first...if your passing td's are as of equal value or more depending on yardage you will not match peytons 33 td's and he will do it again im sure where as LT probably wont have another year like last year with the emergance of rivers
