Newest Clippers Keep Team Afloat
NBA Moves
James Posey to Hornets
Skinny: The question isn't whether Posey can help the Hornets. His defense and shooting will be assets from day one. The question is if New Orleans overpaid (4 years, $25 million) for his services.

Marcus Camby to Clippers
Skinny: L.A. got Camby for next to nothing (exchange of second-round picks), and he'll give them plenty of interior defense and rebounding. The Nuggets, meanwhile, now have a huge hole in the middle.

Elton Brand to 76ers
Skinny: Brand, who blindsided the Clippers by signing with Philly, gives the up-and-coming Sixers the interior presence they badly need. Brand has career averages of 20.3 points and 10.2 rebounds.

Baron Davis to Clippers
Skinny: The Clips have needed a point guard for a long time, and got a more than capable solution in Davis. B-Diddy is a two-time All-Star with career averages of 17.1 points and 7.2 assists.

Corey Maggette to Warriors
Skinny: The Warriors made up for Davis' departure by grabbing Maggette from the Clips. Maggette averaged 22.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 70 games last season.

Jermaine O'Neal to Raptors
Skinny: Toronto acquired O'Neal through a trade with Indiana. Despite averaging just 13.6 points and 6.7 rebounds last season, O'Neal should thrive next to Chris Bosh.

Richard Jefferson to Bucks
Skinny: New coach Scott Skiles (left) and the Bucks grabbed Jefferson via trade with New Jersey. Jefferson averaged a career-best 22.6 points last season while playing all 82 games for the Nets.

T.J. Ford to Pacers
Skinny: Despite having Jamaal Tinsley, the consensus has been that point guard is a problem for Indy. The speedy Ford, acquired in the Jermaine O'Neal trade, might just be the answer for the Pacers.

Yi Jianlian to Nets
Skinny: New Jersey got younger and taller by giving up Richard Jefferson to get the talented Yi. The Nets also got Bobby Simmons (left) from the Bucks as part of the trade.

Mickael Pietrus to Magic
Skinny: Long plauged by inconsistency at shooting guard, Orlando might have found their answer in Pietrus. The former Warrior can defend, score, and can also rebound very well from the two spot.

This is a new generation. This Clipper team is going to be AMAZING. Marcus Camby and Chris Kaman (when healthy) are two of the BEST shot blockers in the league. Both of them get double-digits in rebounds. Camby, being lighter, is more suited to playing power-forward. Now you've got Al Thornton at 6-8 on wing -- and he can JUMP OUT OF THE ROOF! In the back court, you will always have 3 guys who can nail THREE POINT SHOTS: Baron Davis, Cuttino Mobley and Eric Gordon. Coming off the bench is TIM THOMAS, a 6-10 power-forward who can hit THREES like crazy. The Clippers will create too many match up problems for teams in the West. They'll win 45 games easy, maybe 50.

Agree, now all that remains to be seen is if they can get something worthwhiile for AI. Don't doubt it, he's on the trading block that's a TON of salary cap space and if they did this, then they will do that simple as that. Denver, see you (not) on the tv. Allen Iverson, Good Luck, God bless and may you get the ring you so deserver somewhere. The rest of you Nuggets can, well wallow in the mud that is the Western Conference "didn't make its" and hope you trade Kleiza and Smith to real teams. Carmello, welcome to the Iverson in Philly nightmare. I hope you're gonna like it.....

Marcus Camby - heart and soul of the Nuggets. The only big man who knows defense on a team that can't even spell it. C. Anthony shrugs his shoulders and giggles at the idea of defense and just thinks he can outscore any other team. He will never mature to the level of the stars who could shoot AND play D - Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Larry BIrd? Marcus plays by example. We hate to see him go. I'd bet George Karl is not sleeping well thanks to the "luxury tax" move. No season or package ticket deals from me this year...I'll watch TV occasionally.Tom in Aurora, CO
