@fnennaShe was in Playboy BEFORE this.@ragtimeAre you kidding? Soylent Green? I assure you, plants and animals will continue to exist far longer than fifty years. If there were not, lack of food would be our least concern, since- contrary to popular belief- we are still reliant on the ecosystem: It dies, we die. In any case, we're a few years from directly growing meat in a lab, thus reconciling PETA and hamburgers.

shame that the piece of nothing posed for shot and clown who took picture should have known that they were representing America and didnt know that flag was facing wrong way= It was only for publicity and not fur

Amanda should consider more appropriate plces for her protests. Olympics are NOT the place. Even though she looks better in the "narutal" than most anyone. When it comes to protests, "The T Square" protest for human rights far outweigh her little poster. Our Presidential candidate just defaced our American Flag on his political plane so Iguess her using it for her "Freedom of Speech" , which the Chineese doNOt have, Guess hers isn't all that bad. Where can I buy that poster?Ah, Now, let me light my Bar B ( and get those ribs going. .Its time for NFL Football. )

Peta is just a pre-text for s-e-x maniac like her, grabbing attention for a better offer from other porno front magazines. I am sure her target is either Penthouse or Playboy.

OK, lets say that non-human life is less valuable than human life. I think its fair to say that any kind of life is still more valuable than, say, human whim. Unless you think people are dying for lack of fur.

@ dmwrend:Wait...You think "People for the ETHICAL TREATMENT of Animals" wants to slaughter pets? If that's not a typo, I can only imagine you're a bit confused.Funny how we are about appearances- Everyone knows that everyone is naked under their clothing and most people see a naked person at least once a day, but showing pictures of a naked person causes controversy.Everyone knows that meat, leather, and fur are pieces of dead animal, but showing pictures of slaughterhouse causes controversy. It seems our morals are unconcerned with what we know- only what we admit.

She should take an anti-ego pill and stick to swimming. Being nude is old hat...so what else is new ??????

What celebrities do with their time and bodies is their own business, however I am glad this event was moved outside the Olympic arena so it does not appear that it was condoned by the American Olympic team. That would be a highly inappropriate endorsement of nude advertising. While I am at it, why all the violent movie advertising during the Olympic coverage? My children 3 and are interested in the sports and I have to censor the commercials.
