he is a paid spokesman for the company that makes the Cheetah leg. No different than having the Olympic runners have Pepsi or Coke on their shirts- soon the Olympics will be just like Nascar, with sponsors plastered all over every available inch.

HERE WE GO WITH DOUBLE STANDARDS AGAIN. THEY WILL ALLOW THIS GUY TO RUN WITH NON - DISABLE RUNNERS EVENTS AND DISABLE RUNNERS EVENTS. BUT NORMAL RUNNERS CAN'T RUN IN SPECIAL OLYMPIC EVENTS. WOMEN WANT TO PLAY IN THE PGA BUT NO MALE IS ALLOWED IN THE LPGA. WOMEN SPORTS WRITERS GO INTO MALE LOCKER ROOMS AND NO ONE BATS AN EYE. ANY MALE CAUGHT IN A WOMENS LOCKER ROOM IS A PERVERT. IT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME. WHATS GOOD FOR ONE SHOULD BE GOOD FOR THE OTHER. I GUESE THATS WHAT YOU CALL AN ADVANCE SOICETY. SOUNDS LIKE FAVORTISM TO ME.

The Olympics are worthless. They do not help for what they are for. It is another way to make the rich richer.

Not at the expense of a better and faster runner with NO impairment. These races are not handicaped (pardon the unintentional pun). This is another reason the Olympics are becoming a farse. They were originally for the BEST Athletes in the world, now they are becoming a place for anyone to get 15 minutes of fame, no matter how hugh of a FARCE they make of the sport.

I agree with the decision as long as any other athelete can use mechanical devices to help them run fast.

I hope he is fast. He may be South African but we have African Americans in the race!
