Forget the Babe Ruth Jinx with the Redsox the new Jinx is the Mets cause Yankees havent one since they beat us in 2000. In agreement with johnnylet2000, the Yankees didn't turn down Santana. Minnesota was too busy playing the "wait game" by tossing Santana around like a proverbial carrot and Hank Steinbrenner wasn't going to play right along with them. Doesn't matter anyway, because acquiring Johan Santana will just be another finger of blame to point at when the Mets do not make the playoffs; as usual. All of the crybaby whining Met fans still blame Willie Randolph for when the Mets meltdown last season, as if Willie should've been in the field playing with them. As a native New Yorker and a Yankee fan, it's no secret that Met fans are the first ones to talk the trash at the beginning of the season, then point the fingers of blame at the end of the season. So the Mets can have Johan Santana. Matter of fact, they can have TWO Johan Santanas for all we care, because it doesn't really matter. Because when the MLB regular season is over, so are they...AS USUAL....

Funny how the person who wrote this article stated that yankeed turned down a legitimate ace when they turned down santana. Although I agree Is an ace type pitcher I wouldnt call giving up 4 runs in less than 8 inning a ace type start. I also am getting sick of people who say that Wang is not an ace. Wang has a 6-1 2.90 record much better than santana. He also has more wins in the last 2 years than any other pitcher in baseball. Also Wang's career era is lower then the career era of both Beckett and Sabathia who some say are aces.
