Have you had it with bad sports announcing? Are you still miffed that the "expert" calling your team's game both mispronounced one of your reserve's names and botched the score, all while making a bad pun? We feel your pain. And we're here to help. Using a field selected by AwfulAnnouncing.com, we've put together a fan-voting tournament that will determine the worst sports announcer in the biz. I know Vitale since East Rutherford High School, he was a jerk then and still is. He is lucky to be where he is because he had an all american High School basketball player on his team Les Cason (RIP).

Patrick, Theismann and Maguire were the most knowledgable and enjoyable football announcing team I've ever heard. Madden talks way too much...just drones on and on. Vitale is the WORST sports personality ever. The braying is atrocious. Drop him on a deserted island with a truckload of Darvon and spare the rest of the human race.

Kornheiser is one of the sharper jpurnalists on TV. The Monday night crew doesn't seem to be clicking consistently. Not sure if everyone, including the network, is quite sure of what they want or how to get it.

Why isn't John Madden on here? He is the worst announcer in sports...maybe second worst next to Lou Holtz.

Stupid article, Tim McCarver is a good announcer. I can see why Dick Vitale would be annoying to some but when it comes to college basketball he is tops. The worst announcers are the ones no longer announcing.
